When you visit Hamilton Eye Clinic, you can expect high-quality services from a team dedicated to your wellbeing and comfort. Please bring your current reading glasses or contact lenses (if you wear them) and a list of any medications with you.
When you arrive, you will be greeted by our friendly receptionists and directed to one of our three waiting areas. In the main waiting room, you can help yourself to tea, coffee or water. Your first visit will involve an ophthalmic examination by one of our surgeons, allowing our specialists to determine your next best step.
Your visit may also include one or more tests requiring us to dilate your pupils with drops. You may find you have trouble focusing afterwards. Whilst this is normal and temporary, we recommend having someone drive you home. Consider wearing sunglasses to minimise glare and light sensitivity when leaving your appointment.
We do our best to stay on schedule, but occasionally, some consultations and treatments take longer than expected, or we may have an acute case come in that needs to be dealt with urgently. When this happens, your waiting time may be longer than originally indicated, if you have any concerns or are under time pressure please let the receptionist know.
After your consultation, please return to reception, where you can settle your account and schedule your next appointment if needed.
